Why I'm staying at The Elements...
Hey, I'm Jake!
It's that time of year again - the mad rush to get signed up to a student house for next year before the end of semester.
STOP! Take your time to sign and don't believe the myth that there is a shortage of student housing in Sheffield - it's not true!
I'll be honest, finding the right accommodation can be an absolute minefield! That's why I've decided to do away with the hassle of finding a shared house and will be staying in halls at The Elements for my final year.
Believe it or not staying in halls after your first year is defo worth considering, and The Elements was the best option for me. Here's why:
- Bills are included
Living in a shared house will usually involve paying your own utility bills, whereas at The Elements my bills are included in the rent - no arguments with housemates, no hassle, no problem!
- Cosy rooms & my own bathroom!
I personally find my bedroom at The Elements to be much nicer that what I have experienced in shared houses. What's more, as it's an en-suite not having to wait for the bathroom in a morning is a major bonus!
- Great facilities
Where else could you get a gym, common room, cinema, study area, and launderette all under one roof?! My mind is blown!
- 24/7 Support
Living in halls makes me feel like i'm part of a community and there's always someone to talk to at The Elements if I have any problems or issues. I know that I can always pop down to reception and have a chat with the site management team!
So, make sure you don't rush into finding your perfect shared student house and seriously consider living in halls (I'd obviously recommend The Elements!) after your first year.
Applications for uni halls open for September 2019 on the 1st December 2018! Get in touch with Accommodation Services to discuss your options.
Until next time!
