QMU Wellbeing: Stress Control Course

Do you struggle with stress and anxiety?
This Stress Control course has been developed by NHS and CBT therapists and is a very effective way of learning about, and managing your stress and anxiety. You will learn some simple strategies to help yourself feel better and there are workbooks for each week which you can take away.
The course is lecture based and delivered by a CBT therapist. You will not need to speak in the group or explain why you are there.
Each session is 1.5 hours long and takes place in QMU lecture theatre 3090. It takes place on Friday mornings 10.30am – 12pm.
Week 1 (25th January) – How stress can affect us all
Week 2 (1st February) – Manage the stress in our body
Week 3 (8th February) – Manage our stressful thoughts
Week 4 (15th February) – Managing stress through action
Week 5 (22nd February) – Understand and overcome panic
Week 6 (1st March) – Understand and improve our sleep
