How to keep up a healthy lifestyle as a student
Nothing feels better when you really cannot be bothered to cook, than a trip to Nando's or logging onto JustEat. Takeaways, fast food and ready-meals can be great quick-fixes for those days when you just want to relax & eat pizza in your PJs.
Whilst of course it is fine to treat yourself, and tasty food can be a great way to lift your mood after a long day, a balanced diet and keeping active can contribute to good physical and mental health in the long run. Additionally, buying food and making it yourself at home can also be much healthier for your bank balance!
You don't need to be a fancy chef to cook great food at home, try something simple, but rich in protein and vitamins, to keep your energy levels up for longer; for example, take a look at these cheap and nutritious: broccoli recipes.
Not all of us are athletes, but there are lots of little things that we can do to keep active in our everyday lives that are cheap or even free. Here are a few of my tips, for the people who can relate to the term “not-a-very-sporty-person” and want to make a change in their lives, whilst not spending loads of money in the process:
