The Student Advisor
This is your first port of call for practical support and advice on all aspects of student life, including settling into university, financial worries, disability, mental health problems and personal safety.
Your Student Advisor is Gillian McLaughlin. You can find her on the first floor of the High Mill Building, room 1.01. You can either drop in during the following times:
Monday 10-12: Room 1.01, High Mill
Tuesday 10-12: Halls, Gateway Building, Main Reception
Thursday 10-12: Room 1.01, High Mill Or email to arrange an appointment: email@example.com
Counselling services are available on campus through Joanna Kent, speak to your student advisor for a referral
Student Success Advisor Recent graduates on hand to over advice based on their own experiences. Your Student Success Advisor for SBC is Lucinda Nash and can be contacted via MyHWU.
The Big White Wall
The service provides a safe space online and 24/7 online peer and professional support to get things off your chest, explore your feelings and learn how to improve and self-manage your mental health and wellbeing.
