Springtime in Edinburgh

By BzBarlow 20 Apr 2018

If you're not heading home for Easter, now is a great opportunity to explore what Edinburgh has to offer.

With longer evenings and the weather finally improving, it's time to make the most of the outdoors. Here are some ideas...

Edinburgh Zoo

Take an afternoon to stroll around looking at the various animals that Edinburgh's zoo has to offer. Book online and use your student ID to save money on tickets

Edinburgh's 101 Objects
Really explore and learn about Edinburgh's history by checking out the 101 objects around the city. From the first blended whisky to the old city ringer, there is plenty to keep you busy!

Royal Botanic Gardens
With all the Spring buds blooming, the Royal Botanic Gardens are the perfect spot to get some well-deserved peace and quiet. If it's a really nice day, why not take a picnic?

Edinburgh Markets
With some extra time on your hands, check out all the various markets dotted around the city. From street food, fresh produce and handcrafted gifts, they're always worth a nosey at.

Greater Grassmarket
With a great atmosphere and filled with a bunch of al fresco bars and pubs, it's a great spot to watch the world go by with a pint or a cup of tea.

Arthur's Seat
If you haven't visited yet, it's a must-see! This giant extinct volcano will be covered in yellow gorse and on a sunny day will be breathtaking.

Happy Easter!
