Edinburgh is known for its huge student population and diverse nightlife, so a night out is always fun, no matter what you're looking for! Here are just a few of the spots you should check out:
This bar is perfect for chilled vibes, offering live music with resident DJ's and a great beer garden - making it the perfect place to spend your weekends with a group of mates.
For those nights when you want to start off with a couple of cocktails or if you just want to experience fine spirits and fresh fruit, Dragonfly is one of the best in Edinburgh.
You'll find this quirky bar hidden downstairs in a barber shop! If you want a great selection of drinks, a cool place to chill after uni or somewhere nice to go on a date then check it out - if you can find the secret entrance...
Beer + pizza = the start of a brilliant night! BrewDog is perfect for a mid-week get together and a nice treat if you fancy a night off the cooking.
If you like a mix of different music genres then check it out on Wednesday or Thursday - they're the busy students nights. They also have live indie bands playing during the week!
Over 3 floors (try not to lose your friends) you're guaranteed to find something you like. Temple on Thursdays has £1 drinks and offers VIP packages - go on, treat yo'self!
Head to George Street on a Monday to experience one of the best student clubs in Edinburgh, and promises a night of great DJs that will have you dancing all night long.
Every night is Hive night, (no, seriously it's open 365 days a year!) so make sure you experience it whilst at Heriot-Watt. Dance the night away on the light-up dancefloor, enjoy ALL genres of music and it's free entry on Thursdays.
