There’s plenty to get excited about this year! As we’ve won the City of culture accolade, we’re set to have a range of events we can all look forward to this year. With theatre shows/gigs/festivals and concerts, living in Coventry you won’t be short of things to do to broaden your mind and enjoy yourself.


There’s a great selection of shows on at the Belgrade from dramas to musicals, so you don’t need to go to the West End to see a high quality show. Check out below some of the top shows.

We have some kick ass comedy right on your doorstep with up and coming comedians. Comedy Central Live is based at The Hub on Coventry University’s campus and you can enjoy 3 top comedians for just £10. The first show of the year kicks off on the 2nd Feb starting at 19:30 - 10.30.

The Albany Earlsdon  - Emily Atack - Talk thirty to me. Friday 12 April 2019 | 7:30pm Fresh from the Jungle, Emily Atack is taking part in her first ever comedy gig and she’s coming to Coventry!

Warwick Arts Centre - There’s a range of comedy shows on at Warwick Arts Centre. From Russell Kane to Jimmy Carr, check out the site for more information on what’s on and how to book.


Coventry Pride is on Sat, 8 Jun 2019 – Sun, 9 Jun 2019 and takes place in Coventry City Centre and has a range of stalls, performances, food and drink carts.

Godiva Festival - The Midland’s biggest music festival, Godiva Festival spans over a whole weekend from Friday - Sunday. Friday is typically 80’s night and on Saturday the festival begins early and carries on through to the evening with the headline act performing around 9pm. There’s a range of food and drink stands, comedy tent and different music stages.

Digbeth Dining Club - Every Friday and Saturday from 5pm. Digbeth Dining Club is the winner of Best Street Food Event in the UK 2013 & 2014 at the British Street Food Awards. There’s a wide range of food from around the world. Check out the Jaberwocky or the Gravy Train for some tasty food.

Leamington Food Festival - Saturday 7th September and Sunday 8th September. Check out the food festival taking place at the Royal Pump Rooms. There will be over 130 exhibitors with food cooking classes and a range of food and drink stalls. There’s something for everyone from artisan gins and prosecco bar to a range of food from around the world - jerk chicken anyone?

Easter Chocolate Festival - 30th March 11.00 -18.00. Fargo Village is a quirky and independent space offering independent shops, cafes and food outlets. It has it’s very own chocolate shop that also does Pie and Mash. Get in! Check out the Easter chocolate festival that’s taking place and it’s also Mother’s day so could be a good gift idea too!
