Move Out Weekend
Many of you have been asking where you can donate unwanted items when you move out. This has been great to see!! This year we have teamed up with local charities with the aim of being more sustainable & reducing waste to landfill.
What can you donate?
- Clean and dry clothing (can include shoes and accessories that are in good condition) for St. Vincent de Paul & Threads. Threads is an initiative set up for asylum seekers to up-cycle clothing in order to sell it on. One of our residents, Josh Clinton, is involved in this so please help him out by donating unwanted clothing.
- Non-perishable food items for Crosscare, such as tinned foods, sauces, pasta, rice, noodles & dried foods, stock cubes. These items will be distributed to people who need them through a food bank in Coolock.
- Good conditioned kitchen items for Feed our Homeless, in Ballymun (i.e. pots, pans, bowls, plates, and cutlery, etc.)
- Recycling Please don't throw out items that can be recycled such as milk cartons, soft drink cans, tinned food cans, cardboard boxes etc! Click here to find out what you can recycle.
Where do you donate?
Glasnevin: Larkfield Courtyard, Hampstead Courtyard, College Park beside House 14 & at the back of House 16 from Thursday 17th to Monday 21st.
St. Pats Drop Off Points: Reception for clothing, unwanted kitchen items and non-perishable food items from Thursday 17th, Friday 18th & Monday 21st 9:15pm - 5pm.
The car park beside Reception will be where your recycling bins and general waste bins will be located. There will also be bins beside each house. Please separate items into the correct area.
Let's make this move out weekend as sustainable as possible!! :-)
